Derek and Lorie Bromley make up the band Gibberish.
The Los Angeles based band is originally from Arkansas and writes psychedelic experimental pop that sounds like a sun-drenched version of the Animal Collective meets Ducktails.
According to the band, their current writing process usually starts with a drum loop (normally on a vocal effects processor to make the drums sound eclectic and textured), and then the loop is repeated with guitars, melodies and bass over the top.
Having just moved to Los Angeles, the band plans on adjusting to their new city over the next few months and then will start recording a full-length album in the summer.
