In late 2009 DJ Squints released this mashup along with a handful of others that led to his last minute DJ performance at Coachella in 2010. As a contest winner, Squints played a 35 minute set on the Sweat Shop Mixer stage with his musical accomplice Da Griz. The Global Inheritance Sweat Shop Mixer stage was self powered; drawing energy from his friends riding on bicycles along side the stage. Needless to say it was epic. While Squints career as a DJ did not last forever, there are still a handful of ear catching and thought provoking mashups that live past the 2010 Coachella performance and can still be heard today. Here is one that has aged well. A Mashup of MIA’s “Paper Planes” and Mannie Fresh’s “Real Big”. Enjoy.
