Bassist and co-vocalist from The Rapture, Mattie Safer, recently released his new single “Floating,”
The uplifting track was co-produced by Filip Nikolic (Poolside) and the song is clearly influenced by many of the “Daytime Disco” elements of Poolside’s popular beachside tropical sound.
According to the Mattie, “Floating,” contemplates an escape to the cosmos, where we can transcend our arguments and differences to find a common humanity. It combines the classic feeling of NYC’s Paradise Garage with a modern electronic sound.
It’s a solid track and worth grooving out to below.
