After making a solo debut in September 2014, Deutsch Duke has had a remarkable twelve months. He shared his talents on Flight Facilities’ latest album–co-producing “Sunshine” featuring Reggie Watts and lending his vocals for their self-titled track “Down To Earth”. However most of his listeners will know him from featuring on the Top 10 ARIA Club charting and triple j High Rotation Set Mo hit “White Dress”, which he also co-wrote. After delighting tastemakers with original singles “Feels Good” and “Battleground” earlier this year, Duke now shares his new single “Harder Without You”, ahead of a forthcoming solo EP and national tour with Peking Duk.
Dennis Dowlut made his first ever solo appearances Deutsch Duke on the Red Bull Music Academy stage at this year’s Splendour in the Grass, alongside a stand out performance of “Down To Earth” together with Flight Facilities–closing the Mix Up Tent. Following his head-turning live debut in Byron, Deutsch Duke will join Peking Duk as a guest vocalist throughout November and December on the international Stereo sonic tour.
A multi talented electronic producer/artist with an extraordinary list of collabs in the works, Deutsch Duke self-produced, vocalized, and mixed his new single “Harder Without You”, relinquishing his one-man-band persona only once to allow Pizza Guy Michael Di Francesco aka Touch Sensitive in to play bass. The result is an absolute masterpiece, showcasing smooth and tantalizing vocals, consummately layered synths and guitars, and hypnotic basslines. Now with full focus set for “Harder Without You” and a forthcoming solo EP, Deutsch Duke will continue to forge a familiar name in the electronic music circuit as one of 2015’s brightest new acts.
