Ahead of Golden Vessel‘s forthcoming album due out this June, the Australian artist shares his second single off the album titled “pockets full of rocks” featuring Mallrat and Emerson Leif.
Lyrically the song is about making a relationship work while also struggling with mental health. It’s an easy listen backed by steady rhythm, clean acoustic guitar work, tasteful synths and a vocal duet performed by some of Australia’s finest talent. According to Golden Vessel the song is a collage of collaborative ideas borrowed from sessions with Mallrat and Emerson Leif that he stitched together. Once this song came together it provided a big moment of clarity for the whole album and direction the project was heading in.
