St. John’s, Newfoundland-based band Galaa recently released their new single “Ender.”
The single is part of their forthcoming album The Speech, which the band recorded over the last year.
“Ender” features a bright hazy vocal, electronic percussive elements and warm shimmering synths swaying beneath a guiding bass line. Collectively the instrumentation and vocal create a sort of ‘shoegaze-pop’ vibe.
It’s a great tune with similarities to Feist, Tycho and Phantogram. Lyrically it’s about desire and the idea of enduring over time along with questioning what to do with the things you want when you finally have them.
