Canadian Dance R&B band DiRTY RADiO and Australian producer Jafunk make an exciting collaboration with their single “The Baddest”.
The funk-filled song follows a night out that invites you to bring your A-game and have fun. It reflects heavy influences from the best of the ’80s: from lyrics referencing Prince to a distinctive Motown inspired bassline guiding you throughout the song — a combination that makes it a great summer track.
Having never met in real life while working on this song, Jafunk mentions it creates an interesting dynamic: “We went back and forth online for months after the initial idea, changing vocals and the instrumental until the track started sounding full.”
