Dakota’s new single “Silver Tongue,” is a blissful slice of indie alt-pop.
The Netherlands-based band released the new single today on Manimal Records.
According to the band, there is always that one person in your life that tries to talk down your dreams and goals by saying they’re not realistic. When later that person tries to put it into perspective by saying, “hey, you don’t have to take it from me,” the damage is already done and you feel put down and insecure. That’s what inspired them to create “Silver Tongue.”
The dream-pop track sounds like a garage-rock song cut somewhere in Santa Monica. Features a smooth vocal and beach-friendly Rickenbacker-inspired guitar line. It’s got a cool vibe. Stream for yourself below.
