Indie-pop electro-duo EXES is comprised of Allie McDonald and Mike Derenzo.
The Los Angles-based vocalist and producer duo released a new single last week titled “Over.”
The 4-minute song features soft angelic vocals layered a top smooth melodic downtempo electronic production. It’s like a softer version of XYLØ or Mark Johns with clean production.
Lyrically, the song is about a break up and moving on in a relationship. “Holding on to something that’s already gone,” as described by the groups vocalist Allie McDonald.
