Mona Vale is the moniker of London based songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Jamie Hoddle.

Operating at the intersection of electronica and indie, he is a producer that creates both mellow and upbeat music. His style is crossover of melodic instrumentation and electronic house. With influences ranging from production trail-blazers Maribou State and Four Tet, Mona Vale is known for creating music that is both tonally bright and melodically introspective. He also uses a lot of reverb to create a soundscape that is both nostalgic and upbeat.

Earlier today, Mona Vale released a new melodic house single titled “Too Late.”

The song is about the music industry and the challenges it brings.

“This track is about the constant battle young people have to stay true to themselves when trying to establish a career in the industry and not get sucked into the culture it entices,” says Hoddle.

It’s characterized by an emotional guitar riff and heavy use of reverb to create a soundscape that is both nostalgic and upbeat.
