Whitney is a laidback indie rock act comprised of Max Kakacek (Smith Westerns) and Julien Ehrlich (Unknown Mortal Orchestra). Together they sound like the American response to Tame Impala.
Their upcoming record was produced with Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado in California and set to be release on June 3, 2016 (Secretly Canadian).
The latest cut from the album, “Golden Days,” sounds like a warm, saturated, and 70s psychedelic influenced song. In any case, it’s properly titled and a great summer time tune.
