Vesuvio Solo is a Montreal-based band who write often-confessional, sophisticated pop songs. The band was formed in Montreal by Thom Gillies and Cam MacLean in the spring of 2014. The band has shared the stage with notable acts such as Django Django, Destroyer and Compass Point legend, Wally Badarou. Their music is forward-looking, even as it plays with nostalgia.

“Don’t Leave Me In The Dark” is the self titled track off of Vesuvio Solo’s second full length. It’s sounds like something to the effect of Mac Demarco meets Ariel Pink meets a handful of other Canadian indie rock bands. It is an effort which speaks to duel influences of new wave pop and sophisticated songwriting.

The album was tracked off-the-floor at Montreal studio Hotel2Tango in February of 2015. Production and engineering was handled by Patrick Gregoire.
