The Gentle Hits recently released “All That Information,” a track off their debut self-titled album.
The Phoenix, Arizona-based band features Ian Metzger (lead songwriter and vocalist), Mark Kulvinskas (drums) and multi-instrumentalist James Mulhern. All three musicians gained wide-scale recognition with their critically acclaimed projects Dear and the Headlights (Ian/Mark) and What Laura Says (James).
Last month, Brooklyn Vegan raved that the new album “picks up right where Dear and the Headlights left off.”
While their new sound is a little softer, more folk and less pop, it is still clearly in the same recognizable vein of intelligibly crafted songs and heartfelt lyrics as Dear and the Headlights.
The self-titled album was released on November 18 via Porch Party Records and worth checking out.
