How long have you been playing together as a band?
We’ve been playing for a few years now. We all moved in together and started writing music. We had guitars in every room so there was always someone playing.
What other bands/artists do you draw influence from?
We grew up listening to The Smiths and Britpop and we recorded our debut album with Stephen Street so there’s definitely a lot of British influence in our sound. One of our favourite DVDs is The Band, Last Waltz so we like to throw a little Americana in as well.
Hows touring with The Wombats?
We are very excited to be going on tour with The Wombats. It’s our first time coming to the US so we are really looking forward to it. We’ll be touring coast to coast through April and May.
Favorite new music from 2015?
So far we love the new Peace album. We played a festival with them last year and thought they are a great live band as well!
What’s it like getting started as a band in one of the biggest, if not the biggest, music cities in the world?
London is a great city to be a band in. There are thousands of bands and it’s easy to get lost in it all but people do really love live music in the UK so when you start building a following it’s an amazing feeling and a great gig!
Plans for your future?
Our debut album Here It Comes is out in May so our plan is to push the record and tour in the states as much as we can!
Film And Life’s debut LP, “Here It Comes” is due out May 5 2015.
