Doug Stuart has spent the last several years etched deep into the grooves of some of the Bay Area’s funkiest ensembles, playing bass for The California Honeydrops, Bells Atlas, hundreds of jazz combos, session work, and most recently as keyboardist for Astronauts, etc. on their national tours accompanying Toro y Moi.
His latest venture, Jinn Grin, is a solo project produced alone by Stuart from start to finish. It’s a step back from the many projects Stuart has been a part of over recent years. This time around focusing on his own craft.
“Answer,” is the lead track off the upcoming EP due out June 14th. It sounds like a track from Bibio’s Mind Bokeh, so if you’re into that type of sound stream the track below.
