Norwegian nu-disco producer Cavego recently released a new single titled “Kjeiken,” ahead of his upcoming EP, Gudbransdalen, set for release this Friday.
The single features swooning vintage synthesizers, funky bass and club-inspired drum production similar to his previous releases.
Named after after the iconic Gudbrandsdalen Valley in Norway, the EP is a return to sounds and feelings of Cavego’s childhood. It began last spring when Even Hymer Gillebo, aka Cavego, collected sounds of running creeks, birds singing and wind in the grass from the area where his family owns a cabin and he spent a portion of his formative years.
It’s set to be released via Belgian label imprint Eskimo Recordings.
