You will not find a bigger fan of D’Angelo’s originals on this website than yours truly. With that being said, this is how much I love this edit by D’Angelo’s new track Betray My Heart off his 3rd debut album, Black Messiah. Betray my Heart exposes the elements of D’Angelo’s musical talent that has made him a household name in the R&B industry. Dino Soccio puts a little magic dust over this track by complementing D’Angelo’s voice with a simplistic guitar riff that works perfectly. Enjoy this track, and if you have never dived into D’Angelo’s first album Brown Sugar, you must give it a ride. It’s bound to be stuck in your shuffle for years to come.
