Foreign Family’s latest release is a danceable summer joint from indie-electronic duo Gilligan Moss. Although the tandem’s performance schedule is on pause because of the ongoing global crisis, “Ultraparadíso” transports listeners to a center stage oasis.
An easygoing electro-fusion cut, “Ultraparadíso” exists somewhere between dreams and reality. But the leisurely track is not a sleepy-eyed listen; instead, “Ultraparadíso” is a vibrant vision converted to sound. Inconspicuously psychedelic, Gilligan Moss is proficient in mapping a series of sounds that are both familiar and far out. While the first half of the single stands on pillars of indie future-bass, the backend explodes into a Paul Simon-style single.
A chillwave adventure, “Ultraparadíso” is authentic and fun.
