Los Angeles based film-maker and musician Kowloon is back with a new single “English Morning”. This marks his fourth single release of the year ahead of his debut album Come Over. With this new tune, Kowloon shows off his ability to slow down, and successfully land on any spectrum between Lo-Fi Rock and Chillwave tunes.
The single offers dreamy melodies, detailed synth layers, a mellow bassline, and just the right amount of build-up. Even though the track’s troubled message about growth and search for meaning contrasts with the song’s brighter melodies, Kowloon’s soft low-key vocals make this gentle tune a blueprint of how a morning should be spent.
