BAER is the music project of emerging urban vocal pop artist Sabrina Chang. Born in Taiwan and partially raised in Canada, BAER’s music has a style that transcends cultural boundaries

Last week she released her new single “What Does It Matter.” It’s a 3-minute long electronic tune that borrows aspects of R&B and Hip-Hop with Pop sensibility.

According to BAER, she came up with the idea to write the song while hiking. After reaching the climax of the mountain it dawned on her that we are all apart of something so much bigger than our individual selves. As she puts it, “so often, we focus our energy on the smallest, pettiest details and miss out on what’s really important in life. When did we stop loving? When did we stop believing, stop dreaming?”
