J.D. King is a Los Angeles based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that released a new song “Eloise,” today.

Over the years, King has been highly active in the Southern California music scene. His first big success in music came from The Olms; whom he formed with his good friend, Pete Yorn. The Olms saw a fair amount of success including a worldwide tour with acts like Band Of Horses and Vampire Weekend, as well as appearances on The Tonight Show.

King is now gearing up to release his latest album, Moon Gardens, later this year. He describes his work as a “three-year experiment to find the highest level analog sonics, totally original songwriting methods and the most fulfilling creative experience using only biological electromagnetic vibration.”

The bright Bossa Nova track was self-produced and recorded at King’s home studio at the legendary Ramones Ranch in the Hollywood Hills, directly to tape using only vintage gear and instruments. Featured musicians on the track include Malcolm Cross, Stevie Campos, and Giuseppe Patane, Engineered by L.A. stalwart Jeffertitti.

The video for the song was shot and directed by French cinematographer and designer Juju Sorelli on Super 8 Film. It stars model Zoe Bleu as J.D.’s love interest and also features a cameo by Linda Ramone.

The track is incredibly smooth and a perfect summer time tune for relaxing, lounging and feeling like you are important.
