French-disco duo Jean Tonique and Mi Man recently teamed up to begin releasing music together as Toniqie & Man. Their latest single, “Running After Time,” received a club-friendly flip by the french producer himself, Jean Tonique.
The remix showcases futuristic sounding synth production along side groovy rhythm that lends itself to the dancefloor and Mi Man’s lushy airy vocals that tastefully sit alongside the arrangements cleverly energizing instrumentation. It’s a smooth crossover of french filter house and elements of indie pop and easily palatable warm harmonic melodies beneath a funky uptempo bass line.
