Tomode is a new Swedish funk-pop duo. After some formative years of finding their sound, they present it to the world with their debut single “Destiny No. 20”.
Their impressive debut single has 70’s Disco energy combined with modern Pop elements. The track’s instrumental details are clever – ranging from classic disco synths to acoustic guitar during the chorus, an unexpected piano added later in the song and a funky bassline that follows the listener throughout the end of the track.
Finding meaning or purpose in dire times is challenging. The band hopes the song can ignite a spark somewhere out there in the darkness, and it doesn’t seem like a bad idea to follow the groovy singles’ advice and at least try.
