Brandyn picked up the piano by ear at 7 and started writing songs at 13. He’s has written songs for pop acts Jake Miller, MKTO, Charlie Puth. He has also opened for Jon Bellion, John Mayer, Tori Kelly & James Bay. And he is also currently one half of the duo Cosmos & Creature, with his songwriting partner and girlfriend Molly Moore.
In 2012, Brandyn won a Juno Award for Hedley’s “Kiss You Inside Out”. He will be releasing a new EP, “State I’m In,” on June 24th. The EP is a mix of progressive soul and electronic pop confidently backed by his recognizably powerful voice.
Brandyn recently took the time to select a curated playlist for Casablanca Sunset. The playlist, which you can stream on Spotify above, is a compilation of songs that influence him to create the music that he does. According to Brandyn, he’s inspired by a wide variety of artists including John Mayer, early Coldplay and St. Louis hip-hop.
