More music to set the mood. This song is more of a psychedelic take on ambient post rock music. To define, post-rock is a subgenre of rock that uses all traditional instruments associated with rock, but uses them in a much different way. Guitars are use as textures that create ambience and often epic emotions through heavy uses of delay and heavy. Often times drums take the lead in post-rock and dictate massive rises and falls that break the modern structure of traditional rock music.
Anyhow, seeing as though post-rock is a relatively dead and ‘niche’ genre, it is not often that I get to write about it. This track from Landerim is actually more ambient than post-rock. None the less it is solid and worth a listen. Good mood setting music for the office or perhaps an independent film. Enjoy!
