In August, Foals released their 4th studio album What Went Down (via Warner Bros Records). The critically acclaimed full-length release begins to solidifying their positioning within the UK indie rock history books. They’ve been a band for a decade and deserve some respect.
This week, the Norwegian DJ/Producer Lindstrom released an official remix of Foal’s track “Give It All” off the new album, What Went Down. Much like Foals, Lindstrom has been at it for over decade. Having worked with some impressive acts, including remixing Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, The Horrors and LCD Soundsystem, he has rightfully gained respect as a talented musician and producer.
In his latest remix, Lindstrom mixes glistening guitar riffs over a tasteful bass line, perfectly accompanying the vocals delivered by Foals frontman Yannis Philippakis. A steady hi-hat with a 4/4 kick also add that extra edge to make this a club ready tune. Encompassing all things indie dance, this one is very well done.
