London based artist Ego Ella May will be releasing her Zero EP on April 6th. In anticipation of the release, May posted the future-soul track ‘How Far‘ on her soundcloud account yesterday.
This is the first I have heard someone use the term Future Soul, and I dig. Very soulful, melodic, groovy, electronically produced and extra chill. This ambient jazz tune is something for all demographics. The soft feminine vocals courtesy of Ego Ella May really set it apart.
Playing off the production talents of Wu-Lu and Reiss G this song sounds like something between Teebs, MNEK and Seinabo Sey. What’s next, Future Jazz?
