Melbourne-based artist, Dugong Jr recently released a new single titled” Voyager,” via Majestic Casual Records.
“Voyager” is a synth-heavy electro tune that features glitchy layered textures, 8-bit tones and bumping downtempo percussion.
The song also features Ruby Chase on vocals. Her unique topline borrows aspects of pop, R&B, and soul to transport the modular instrumentation into something new and natural.
Melodically, the song is a bit of crossover. The tone of the synths suggests uplifting euphoric club vibe while the rhythm is laid back which allows this to play just as well during the day as it would at night.
