De Lux’s single ‘Better At Making Time’ is reminiscent of early Calvin Harris with Chromeo and Mayer Hawthorne influences. I dare anyone with ears and a soul to listen to this song and not want more. While this song does have contemporary influences and has modern production values, it could have very easily been released in the late 70s or early 80s. Very disco, very funk and lots of rhythm and groove. Its tough to not like a song when it displays excellent musicianship and is well crafted, like ‘Better At Making Time‘ is.
