It features a bright falsetto vocal melody and shimmering guitars.
Lyrically, the song is about processing the emotional trauma of a relationship collapsing while simultaneously remembering how amazing things felt at the beginning. When you acknowledge that things are over, but can’t help reminiscing on happier times. This song tries to capture that nostalgia and flood of memory that hits you when you know things are over, culminating in the big bridge section where everything is swirling around and confused.
