I don’t know how this one slipped by me a couple years ago but I’m very thankful Chopstick & Johnjon’s 2012 release “Listen” has come my way. The simple bouncy bass line is hypnotizing, inducing a heavy involuntary head nod. The feel good Motown sample brings the listener back to the best parts of an earlier generation. In the second half of the song, a heavily filtered disco chord progression lays nicely on top of everything which adds to the all around feel good. A great record to play out that appeals to a broad spectrum of audiences.
